Its position on the screen
A wider photograph helps show where the damage sits relative to the driver’s view, edges and other features.

Suitability comes before the repair
Not every chip or scratch should be repaired or polished. Damage that is too large, too deep, badly positioned, close to an edge or associated with cracking may require a different solution.
